5th African Association Summit (AAS5)
17-19 September 2024 29-30 October 2024


The African Society of Association Executives (AfSAE) is announcing a slight change of date for the Africa Associations Summit (AAS5). The summit will now take place on October 29-30, 2024, at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre (JNICC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: AfSAE invites education proposals that will advance the association profession in Africa, focusing on the theme “Leveraging AI and Innovation in Associations.” If you have innovative ideas and insights on enhancing AI adoption and integration within associations, we encourage you to submit a proposal.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: The submission deadline has been extended to Monday, August 26, 2024. Please send your proposals to We look forward to your contributions and aim to create a valuable learning experience for all participants. AfSAE is excited to offer a platform for learning, networking, and sharing expertise at AAS5!

Uganda Association Training Workshop

In a strategic partnership, the African Society of Association Executives (AfSAE), in collaboration with the Uganda Tourism Board through the Uganda Convention Bureau, hosted the inaugural Uganda Association Management & MICE Training Workshop from 4 to 8 December 2023 at the Protea Hotel by Marriott Kampala Skyz.

In partnership with the Arusha International Convention Centre (AICC) and the Julius Nyerere International Convention Center (JNICC), AfSAE hosted the Second Tanzania Associations & MICE Training Workshop. This prestigious event took place at the JNICC on February 21st and 22nd, 2024. The workshop brought together top association executives from Tanzania for an intensive learning experience.
